With leisure travel recovering strongly, it was the perfect time for #Hachinohe, in the southeast #Aomori Prefecture of #Japan to reach out to and capture travelers looking for in-depth immersive experiences, dispersing from the usual gateway cities. However justifying travel expenses for a huge delegation of suppliers proved to be a bit of a challenge as it was a new market.

Working closely with the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association to run a hybrid event, our client Visit Hachinohe and their stakeholders were able to engage the travel trade and conduct media outreach to showcase authentic #culture and #adventures in the historical region that faces the Pacific Ocean. Besides reaching 75 distribution and media partners, the money saved from not having to travel was invested in executing co-operative campaigns to generate sales for the partners, and visitors to the destination.
